Maintenance Technician
As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining, servicing, and repairing the laundry equipment used for processing workwear. Your role will be crucial in minimising downtime and ensuring our clients’ workwear is handled with the highest standards of cleanliness and safety. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform regular maintenance and servicing on commercial laundry equipment used for processing workwear.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical faults in laundry equipment to ensure minimal downtime.
- Conduct routine inspections, diagnostics, and preventative maintenance to prolong the lifespan of equipment.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and parts used.
- Ensure that all laundry equipment complies with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with the Engineering team to ensure the efficient processing of workwear.
- Respond to emergency breakdowns promptly and carry out necessary repairs to minimise operational disruptions.
- Assist in the installation, setup, and commissioning of new laundry equipment.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or in a similar technical maintenance role.
- Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and steam systems.
- Formal engineering qualification level 3 minimum.
- Fault finding, control panels/PLC's etc.
- Good mechanical/Electrical fault-finding experience with an Electrical biased.
- Preferred experience troubleshooting and repairing mechanical and electrical systems in laundry machinery.
- Familiarity with safety standards and regulatory compliance.
- Ability to conduct preventative maintenance and carry out repairs under pressure.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities.
- Good communication skills and the ability to interact with team members effectively.
