Exeter Plant Receives Freight Transport Association Award

The team at Johnsons Apparelmaster's Exeter laundry were delighted to be honoured recently with the Freight Transport Association’s (FTA) prestigious Tachograph Compliance Award. The annual award highlights FTA members' efforts in maintaining the highest levels of safety compliance and their management of high driver standards.

Announcing the award, FTA key account contract manger Karen Reid said:

"I’m delighted to present this award to Johnsons Apparelmaster in Exeter in recognition of the high standards achieved. This award reflects the high benchmark set and I would like to congratulate everyone involved."

Ian Greatrex, the National Transport Manager for Johnsons Apparelmaster commented:

"This recognition is well deserved. The FTA Vision is a vital tool which allows our organisation to obtain the latest data in relation to vehicle and driver compliance. It gives assurance that our national operations comply with the regulations and that we are proactively pushing continuous improvement. Our transport departments are measured against a number of key areas and our Exeter plant performed at a high standard over the whole of last year. A huge well done to the team."

The FTA has more than 16,000 members and is keen to achieve the very highest levels of driver hours interpretation and compliance management.
