Laura Hassoba Appointed as New Finance Director for Johnsons Workwear

Laura Hassoba, who started work on a temporary contract with the business straight after passing her university finance degree, was recently appointed as Finance Director for Johnsons Workwear.

Laura explained her career progression and why she is delighted to be appointed to the role: “I’ve always loved working for Johnsons. I came here straight after studying and when I was offered a permanent role I jumped at the chance.” Since 2001, she has worked as a management accountant in the South East region, as a finance manager in Stalbridge, and as finance manager for Johnsons Apparelmaster (now Johnsons Workwear).

“It’s a serious job but a fun place to work at the same time,” she said. “The culture is one of trust. Everyone knows their role and why their job is important and they’re trusted to get the job done. The future is exciting as the business goes from strength to strength and I’m looking forward to being a key part of this.”

Helen Wood, Managing Director for Johnsons Workwear, added: “We’re looking forward to working with Laura as part of our senior management team. We encourage and give talented, driven and committed people the opportunities to develop in Johnsons Workwear. Laura is another prime example of an employee who has worked their way from grassroots to the top of our business. Laura’s valuable experience will enable her to combine financial insight with a sound knowledge base of our company.”

Laura is based at the Johnsons Workwear head office in Fulwood.
