Maintenance Engineering Technician
We are currently seeking a multi-skilled maintenance technician with a mechanical or electrical background to join our maintenance team in Perth. We are responsible for all mechanical, electrical, and building maintenance within an industrial plant setting.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent maintenance and fault-finding skills. They must demonstrate flexibility with a hands-on approach and a can-do attitude dealing with a wide variety of tasks.
In this role you will assist the existing Maintenance team:
- Attend All mechanical, electrical, plant and building breakdowns
- Attend all breakdowns in a timely manner
- Complete a program of planned preventative maintenance, to provide optimum equipment availability and minimum downtime
- Unlock and lock the premises on a rota basis
- Start-up and shut down the processing plant, equipment and facilities on the same rota as above
- Carry out day to day repairs
- Carry out fault finding- both mechanical and electrical
- Liaise with contractors
- Comply with current Health & Safety regulations and company policies
- Other ad-hoc duties as required
Preferred Experience & Education:
The ideal candidate will have experience in a multi-skilled role and have a proven track record in a fast-paced production environment. Experience with steam, PLC and pneumatic systems would be advantageous.
- At least two years’ experience within a similar role would be preferable
- Proven track record of mechanical electrical maintenance and fault-finding within a production environment
- Experience with steam systems an advantage
- Experience with pneumatic systems an advantage
- Familiar with PLC systems Education
- Certified qualifications in mechanical/electrical/ fault-finding and maintenance
- Certified engineering qualifications in an engineering discipline
