Stockroom Supervisor

To effectively manage the Staff, functions and resources of the Stockroom to meet customer's requirements for stock, to ensure that security of goods held in the Stockroom is maintained at all times and achieve targets. Key Tasks

  • Ensure all new accounts are ready for installation as per the agreement
  • Purchase products from approved suppliers at the best prices, check against delivery notes and ensure goods conform to required standards
  • Hold weekly meetings with the Customer Service Office Manager and General Manager to review progress of all installations to ensure that installation is on time and correct charges are raised
  • Ensure the most effective use is made of used goods
  • Ensure sufficient stocks of required items are maintained but that the value of goods in stockholding does not exceed targets
  • Carry out duties as laid down in BS ISO 9001 & 14001 Local Working Instructions and Company Operations Manual, which may be updated from time to time
  • Recruit staff in consultation with the General Manager
  • Ensure the welfare of all staff within the department
  • Keep all costs to or below budget
  • Keep managers, supervisors, and colleagues informed as necessary
  • Maintain accurate records where required
  • Wear and enforce the wearing and use of Uniforms, Personal Protective Equipment and handling aids, where supplied, at all times for all relevant tasks
  • Enforce and comply with Company Policies and the Terms and Condition of Employment and follow Company Procedures
  • Keep work area clean, tidy, safe and secure at all times
  • Other Ad hoc duties as required

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role, ideally in an FMCG environment.
